Fish Brewing Co., Olympia, WA is seeking a Head Brewer with the following qualities:
o Self Motivated ~ Ask yourself this…Am I personally driven to excel in the brewing industry? Am I willing to start projects, train & lead others in development, and see said projects through to the end? If you have any doubt, do not apply! It’s not worth relocating to Olympia, only to have to move again.
o Committed History of Employment ~ Brewery transients need not apply.
o Qualitative ~ QA/QC ~ Fish Brewing Company has been growing briskly in recent years, and we are seeking to expand our QA/QC programs. Desirable candidates would have brewing laboratory experience.
o Attentive ~ Fish Brewing always seeks to maximize efficiency. Every measure that generates more finished goods per tank is tirelessly pursued. Simply put: always the finest product, processed most efficiently, and delivered on time.
o Dedicated ~ We are not looking for someone to recreate our products. We are looking for someone who can consistently reproduce our existing, successful, Organic product line. We still create new & interesting products; always in a group process.
o Obsessive ~ We are looking for a candidate with a relentless desire for cleanliness…brewery wide! We also seek someone who can communicate in clearly, concisely, and continuously with all departments.
o Cooperative ~ We have highly dedicated, hard working brewers who participate in the decision making processes. The ideal Head Brewer must have the ability to lead, respect, and cooperate with others.
o Education ~ Brewing education would be considered positive, although an applicable degree and/or brewing experience would be acceptable.
o Administrative ~ While an aspiring Head Brewer must have comprehensive knowledge of brewing, filtration, QA/QC, and packaging, they must also possess organizational & administrative skills. Our Head Brewer is responsible for much of the accounting & recordkeeping necessary for our brewery.
o Commitment to the Cause ~ All employees of Fish Brewing are asked to do what is required on any given day to get the job done. This means on any given day you may brew, and/or bottle, and/or filter, and/or centrifuge, and/or keg, and/or cleans tanks, and/or make cider. This is not a line-brewer position. You will not be brewing every day.
