Hello all, I am a University of Colorado graduate who has recently returned to my home state of Colorado. I’ve always had a keen interest in working in the beer industry and a desire to couple my love of beer with a career as a Sales Representative. I worked at a liquor store for a few years while I was attending C.U. (I loved it) and now I want to get my foot in the door at a local Denver/Boulder brewery or distribution company. I love good people, good beer and I have over 4 years of experience in sales. My goal is to have a career as a Sales Rep. but I am also more than willing to work in other areas at a brewery as well. I want to learn more about the industry and the best way to do that is through experience. If anyone is interested in me, knows of any job openings, or just wants to say hello, drop me a line at craigziegler2000@yahoo.com. I also have my cover letter and resume on hand. Thanks, Craig Ziegler

Having worked for multiple breweries and a few distributors, I would say the best way to get your foot in the door is to try to get yourself a sales position at the distributor that handles some craft brands. CR Goodman is a good one here in Colorado. CDC is also ok. Not sure about any others. After doing that for a year or two keep knocking on brewery's doors. The distributor experience should help you at a brewery because when you are a sales rep for a brewery a lot of your job will be managing the reps at the distributor.

Good luck!
