we killed the motor on our vacuum pump last week and the repair shop is giging me a 2 week eta, challange is i kinda need to bottle like yesterday. what are the down sides to bottling with out a vacuum cycle?
we are planning to......
1) rinse with cold h2o and the flush with Co2
2)bump up our first co2 flush from the machine (PPM's Evolution hi speed filler)
3)evac to the room (placing a check valve inline so that the room air is not moved in to the bottle)
4) Co2 Fill and counter pressure fill as normal
5) Crown on foam.....
This is just to " get us through" this order crunch i have and will not be a long term fix. I'm sure the "airs" will be higher, but we tend to blow through the bottle beer quickly.
any thoughts?
cheers and beers
