Magnotta brewery is looking for a general labourer to work at their facility in Vaughan, Ontario. The job description follows:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Brewery Production Worker is responsible for:
1. BREWERY OPERATIONS:
a) Production
Assist with the execution of the production plan as per supervisor's instructions
Assist with brewing
Tank cleaning and sanitation
Assist with preparing bottling line for production
Package beer and prepare for shipping
Collect and store yeast
Ensure proper storage of raw materials
b) Inventory
Conduct inventory counts on a monthly basis
Report all discrepancies and recommend solutions
c) Brewery Maintenance & Safety:
Maintain and clean brew house and tank room daily, weekly and monthly
Maintain and clean all equipment, machinery and hoses
Comply with all Health & Safety policies
Work in a safe and efficient manner and report any safety concerns promptly
Maintain brewery sanitation and adhere to cleanliness standards and procedures
Assist in pasteurization packaging operations. Cleaning and maintaining pasteurization room and surrounding area
2. MISCELLANEOUS
Perform any other duties as requested by immediate supervisor
KNOWLEDGE
Education:
• Secondary School Education
Experience:
• 1 year of direct experience in a brewery is preferred
• Good understanding of brewing
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Basic equipment maintenance abilities
Sanitary process skills
Interpersonal Skills
• Superior work organization and time management skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to take initiative

WORKING CONDITIONS
Machinery:
Mill, pumps, tanks, labeller, case folder, box taper, keg washer.
Work Environment: Brew House
Traditional production environment, noise, constant interruptions, dust, dirt, cold temperature, hot temperature, exposure to chemicals, wet conditions, health and safety risks
Concentration/Dexterity:
Considerable concentration (more than 50% of the time)
Physical Effort:
Extensive physical effort: standing for long duration, walking, repetitive bending, lifting (30 to 55 lbs), building beer skids, machine operation and maintenance and preparation of packaging materials.
