Hello, my name is Mike Redman I am looking to get back into brewing after finding other work (glassblowing) to be less satisifing. I have attached my resume for your review.
My background in brewing started, as did many, with homebrewing. My passion with beer then led me to manage a homebrew supply store in Burlington, VT. At Somethings Brewing, I met great people, many of whom belonged to the brewing industry. Through them, I was able to obtain an internship at Otter Creek Brewing where I worked with Lawerence Miller (the former owner) and Rob Todd the owner of Allagash Brewing.
This internship led me to a head brewer position at The Seven Barrel Brewery where my training with Greg Noonen (the former owner) began. With Greg, I was involved from the very beginning and worked on brewery layout, fabrication and plumbing as well as recipe formulation, State of NH and BATF paperwork and all other aspects of brewing. I also did some work for Greg at the Vermont Pub and Brewery.
During my time at Simon Pierce I worked in the maintenance department where I did metal fabrication, plumbing and electrical work, MIG and TIG welding, refractory casting, as well general building and machinery upkeep.
I believe that my skills make me valuable not only as a brewer but as an asset to the overall operation of a brewery or brewpub.
I find that I have missed the comradery and challenges of the brewing industry and look forward to returning.
Cheers!
Mike
