We are seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic for our Berkeley Brewery to maintain all plant process and packaging equipment in optimal working order. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting, and find satisfaction in maintaining and repairing machines. We are seeking those who are customer service oriented, have a high level of organization and communication skills, and have a sense of urgency to repair items in an emergency.
The Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic will perform all scheduled and emergency repairs on plant utilities and equipment, troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems using test instruments when necessary, be on call at all times (e.g. carry cell phone at all times, carry radio during work hours) and assist production until daily schedule is complete. In addition, the Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic will work as team with operators, help contact vendors on price and availability to purchase parts and supplies, install new equipment and answer questions regarding operation of systems and equipment for entire facility.
If you have a minimum 3-4 years mechanic experience, 1 year trade or technical school, or technical classes relating to our position, we are interested in learning your background. We prefer you to have a high school diploma and EPA Refrigeration Technician Certification. Familiarity with the beer or beverage making process is preferred.
