I am a very interested individual in opening up preferrably a microbrewery in NC specifically RDU area. This not a plan that I am ready to implement just a serious consideration I would love to pursue. I have been homebrewing for the past 10 years and as many would love to pursue the dream of one day running a microbrewery. I am curious to hear from any of you that currently run a microbrewery here in NC or have been through the startup process specifically in this state or in general others too. I am trying to build an understanding to all that is entailed and how difficult a start up is or is not here in NC. I appreciate any feedback.

Mike

Hi Mike, there is a bunch of info on general startups, not necessarily specific to North Carolina, but it should definitely get you started. Just search in the forum discussion area. Best of luck. Greg.

Hi Mike, Im in the process of opening a micro in Asheville, NC. Its not too difficult if you have the money and time. Expect a year plus from business plan to opening. Raise atleast 500K. And get friendly with local and state brewers - they can help when you are stuck. Good Luck!
