I have a 2hp Baldor Smartmotor with inverter drive that is giving me fits. I am looking for someone who has one of these that can spare some time on the phone to talk me through basic setup and operation. It is in a DME 10bbl direct fired system that came from Globe AZ.

Does no one have one of these?

I have a Baldor (although its not a "Smart Motor"). Mine just crapped out on me a few weeks ago. I called all over looking for replacements only to find out mine was a custom built single phase 2HP Model and very pricey. I found a local electric motor repair shop and had it rebuilt for a fraction of what it would have cost me to replace.
What is the purpose of the inverter? What Phase is the motor, what phase is your supply, are you stepping single phase up? If you have the same inverter i was looking at and it's bad, it may be cheaper to have a 3 phase line run.

Mine is a 3 phase motor. I have power to it and according to all the manuals and lights inside it should work. I just can not get it to turn over. It is not siezed as the shaft spins freely.
I think what I am looking for is help getting the controller configured. I think I just have an issue with the set up that is stopping me from moving on.

Is the controller on the motor a VFD ( variable frequency drive) mounted directly to the motor?

Yes the controller is on the motor but the keypad is remote

Just a follow up for this. I spoke with Baldor and they said that that controller didn't have good longevity and that quite frankly the parts were more than the original controller. The recommended that I retrofit the motor with a VS1MX controller instead.
