found a couple un-marked kegs in our cooler that a costumer is interested in buying (tapped them to find out what they were).
the carbonation seems to be too low in them.

there doesn't seem to be much headspace in the kegs.
i was planning on trying to force carbonate them so we can sell them.
all i need to do is look up my pressure on a carbonation chart vs. the temp of the cooler (37F) and hook it up with a couple right?

how long would you think this would take if i just let it sit there?
i am trying to reach about 2.8 vols at 37F so its about 14 psi.

should i shake it?

thanks...first time having to do this

Run about 30 PSI down through the stem and shake it a bit. Tap, taste, repeat if desired. Not very scientific but you can carb it up in just a few minutes.

I used the hookup we have to fill customers' cornies, filled the corney (pre-purged of course), and then just ran both kegs up to 30psi and gave the corney 200 rocks and the sankey 400 (based on experience), let them rest for ten and then used pressure to refill from corney to sankey. Not the best use of one's time, but sometimes you just gotta save a hundred bucks.
