Porter Lancastrian Bolts

Where can I find bolts for Porter Lancastrians? I took a bolt from mine to the hardware store and got 12M 1.75, but the nuts that I brought back from the store didn't fit.

Could you give me some more info on the machine shop that you used, how many you had made, etc...I have contacted several and am getting quotes for $20-$30 + per nut. Thanks a bunch for the info -John

On a side note I have found out that these things have Whitworth threads - an old British tread

Have you tried some of the British second hand equipment suppliers such as RGB engineering, Central bottling ?
