I am new to this and keep missing my volumes. Is there an equation to figure out how much wort pellet hops absorb? I have my boil losses accounted for.

Are you accounting for the volume change due to the wort going from hot to cold? I think I remember from brewing school that number working out to be about 1/2 bbl on a 10-12 barrel batch size.

Don:
Do you use a measuring stick/Dipstick? I use one and I have to account for the correction to the wort as it cools. The figure that I use is "wort volume x .96. Since you use pellets I do not believe you need to factor in any additional losses. I think only Whole Hops need to be adressed., Since their moisture content varies Vs. pellets..
Our last brew I had 19Hl measure before whirlpool. 19hl X .96 = cast out volume of 18.24Hl.
Hope this helps.

I think the number is 0.9L per kg.
