Wondering if anyone knows of anything that would help color gluten free beer but would not have any detremental effects to the product?

get some buckwheat and toast it to desired color. Buckwheat is gluten free. Also you could do the same thing with Quinoa.

Why the need to add color to the Gluten free beer? Take a look at Bards Tale Gluten - I do not think they use coloring but have the most gorgeous deep copper color to their example. It also has a great taste.

Weyermann's Sinamar would defeat the purpose as it is made from malted barley hence it may have gluten in it. therefore gluten intolerant folks would not be able to have it.

Sinamar is a malt based color extract and is gluten free according to the folks at Weyermann. The info is on their website.
