Hi all, after a few years in the brewing industry, I've decided to change careers -- back into Linux systems admin/networking.
As many other brewers, I think I'll do a better job when I finally get to have my own place; where the boss who tells me what to brew, when to brew and how to do my job is me and me only ;)
I appreciate all the help I've had here over the past three years, it's been a great place to find work, learn more than I ever really thought there was to learn, and to meet some damned fine people. As a bonus, I get to start homebrewing again!
Cheers!

Best of luck, Mr. Zamites. When you're bored with Linux systems and the urge to start your own brewery eventually does hit you, just go after it with everything you've got. Be patient and commit yourself to staying in the fight until there's no fight left. Most importantly, just remember that no matter what obstacles are in your path, there's always a way around, over or even through them. Take it from a guy who just started his own brewery.
Take it easy and enjoy that homebrewing.

it your all. Best wishes to you and hope that you get what you want, even if you have to wait a couple of years. When you become the boss, you are then taking care of everyone else including your own employees...the accountant, lawyer, vendors, customers, etc. It sounds great to be the boss, but it really opens the door of responsibility to others. However, continue to drive forward with your dreams and everything else will follow. Take care and brew your favorites at home...nothing better than hassle free homebrew!
Regards!

I know the tech field pays better, so if it's a means to an end, don't bash up too many monitors. Good luck, and don't stop sharing your knowledge with us.

Rob, good luck in your new endeavors!
I've been out of professional brewing since 1998, but I don't think I'll ever stop being a brewer...
Cheers, Tim
