I have a strainer housing that is missing the filter element. There used to be an id sticker, but it is long gone. If anyone has information on the manufacturer or if there was a generic filter that can be used, I'd appreciate it.
I am pretty sure it is a solid filter or screen that fits as opposed to a bag filter, due to the fabrication of the top (see pic2).
dims.
1.5"tc fittings with 1"diameter throughput.
4" diameter housing approx 22.5" long
Thanks for your help!!

Contact Pall Filter (http://www.pall.com) I'm sure they'll have a cartridge to fit your housing in many different grades.
What was the filters' application?

Not sure of the original application, but I will be using it as a course filter for hot side, probably 200+ micron size.

Why would you filter on the hot side????

Sorry about the generalities, I would be using it as a scale filter from my HLT's for mash/sparge water (hotside). Currently I have a 1.5" dia. perforated screen that gets clogged easily, so I need a filter that will have better throughput.
While I can probably fabricate a screen to work with this filter housing, I'd much rather see if anyone can help identify the manufacturer.
Thanks

http://www.domnickhunter.com/ might be another alternative.
All of these filter housings and fittings are quite similar to each other and a contact with one of the various companies will usually lead you right.
