Question: Does anyone out there have any ideas for doing something with bottles, besides throwing them in the dumpster? I have heard (I think?) of some brewies giving them to concrete companies, which can be used in the making of "sparkling" concrete. The reason being is, the brewery I work for throws a ton of glass away everyday. So I'm trying to come up with a better or these days a "green" way of disposing of this glass. Hopefully some good ideas will come my way. Maybe even a contact or two with some breweries that work with a concrete company. Thanks guys (and ladies)...Cheers!

What happened to recycling???
We run about 20% of our volume in returnables (12 & 16 oz.) but thats not really an option for new age micro breweries.

If its returnable glass you could always send them to us !

In what kind of condition are the bottles? Are these NR bottles that you are picking up from customers or is this breakage from bottling?

Note sure if the question was for me!!!
We do mostly returnable glass, although we get a few requests from other countries on one-way glass for export!!!
Prost!
Ps.
We get most of our returnables from Germany by the way ;)

Actually I was interested in the condition of the bottles which are being disposed of (main post).
