Questions to ask Retailers

I'm in the research phase of a production craft brewery start-up, and part of my research includes talking to both local on-sale and off-sale retailers to get a better understanding of their needs. What are some of your opinions with respect to the most important pieces of information to collect from them?

What their customers like and don't like. It will be different in each establishment. Both of you have the same job of pleasing the customers, not just you pleasing the bar/store owners.
