I'm trying to convert a 100 gallon stainless pressure tank to be used as a brite tank. The tank was taken apart before I had a chance to look at it but I think the outside part of the tank has an outer shell (stainless), 1" rolled foam insulation, and then you hit the inner wall of the tank. I'm not sure if the foam insulation was wrapped around the tank more than once. I was planning on wrapping the outside part of the inner wall with flexible copper tubing and then putting the foam back on and then putting the outer shell back on the tank (assuming everything still fits with the addition of the copper tubing). So I'm trying to determine how much copper tubing I should wrap the tank with and out diameter the copper tubing should be. I was think 1/2" OD and I think they sell rolls in 50 foot lengths. Does anyone know how much I would need to wrap the tank with?
Also, I'm planning on using a 1/2 - 3/4 hp glycol chiller with this and will probably keep the tank at 39 degrees. Thanks in advance for your help.
