Buffing dose tank

I have a few scratches inside the dose tank of my Velo. Who has an easy way to buff them out? I'm guessing there's some kind of ultra-fine grit that can be applied with a soft cloth and provide a sanitary surface. Am I right?

Unless they are really deep, I personally wouldn't bother since this is only a dosing tank. I would be abit more concerned if it was a product tank. The optimum surface roughness for cleaning is quoted as 0.25 micron radius and 1.125 micron radius surface roughness. Not sure what grit is required to achieve this 140 (whatever this means) I seem to remember, but am currently trying to find out.
