I have a few of the old style sankey kegs with threaded spears. I had a puller that was designed to remove the spear, but it has been damaged and no longer works. Anyone out there know where I can buy a replacement?

Thanks.

Do what I did. Have a buddy fab one for you. All you need to do is make a tool that will loosen the spear. A big ass washer with notches cut out that will fit down in the spear. Then weld a handle on. Next take a nickle and place it on the ball in the spear. Put a coupler on and push the handle down. This releases the safety gismo. Continue to spin and out it comes. Cost me a couple of beers to have him make it!
Good Luck

A pair of slip joint piers gripped by a large Crescent wrench will work. Idunno about the ones requiring the nickel, though.

Look at http://stpats.com/index.htm for Barrel tools.

Or make it by yourself

You can definitely open the keg without any special tools in no time.

I have drawings for these tools from a number of different sources.
If you still need it drop a PM.
