We just brewed our first batch of beer at Bavarian Barbarian Brewing Company in Williamsport, PA, today. I just wanted to share the news with my fellow ProBrewers and to extend my heart-felt gratitude to all of you and to the creators/administrators of ProBrewer.com. I've learned a lot from everyone involved with this website and I can honestly say, I wouldn't have made it without the information and help I received here. Hopefully, as the years go by, I'll be able to share lessons learned and actually be a help to someone instead of simply getting into discussions and arguments about homebrewers and what kind of pants I "need to have in a brewery."

Anyway, I'm grateful for the wealth of knowledge and strong opinions. Thank you all very much.

Was that a cheap shot at the thread i started?

Good Luck and may your hops supply be bottomless (like me, who needs pants to brew anyway? )

Hey Mike, congrats!

I've always said "It's not a brewery until the malt hits the water". So now you're official!

One of us needs to make the short drive to visit the other...

Way to go, Mike!
Quite a feeling when you actually mix hot liquor and malt!
Thanks again for the tats, stickers, hat and shirt. Funny thing is my mom (from Bavaria) always called me "her barbarian" so I wear your stuff with pride!
As always, if you're ever in northwestern Montana, stop in and have a few beers!

Prost!

Dave: That is hilarious. I just got the name because my last name is supposedly Bavarian and I'm a big man who used to have a big beard and long, curly hair - I looked like a barbarian. But you're the real deal. That's awesome.

Jephro: I know you're only kidding, but no I wasn't picking on your thread - I was mostly cutting on my own post. I mean - pants?

Guy: Yes, sir. When things settle down here at some point, we'll try to make a trip out to Berwick. Of course, you're also welcome to visit us here, too.
