Sam Calagione will be the keynote speaker at the New England Craft Brew Summit taking place in Portland, Maine on March 7th. The conference includes a New England-wide business exposition and a full day of multitrack seminars and roundtable discussions.
Calagione is the founder of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and board member of Boston Beer Co. Over the past 30 years, Dogfish Head has grown into a nationally recognized brand as a pioneer in off-shoot beer styles, beer-wine hybrids and craft distilling.
The New England Craft Brew Summit is the largest conference for the craft brewing industry on the East Coast. The theme of this year’s conference is “The Fermentation of Change: Redefining Craft Beer’s Future” and will address the profound and rapid evolution of the industry in the last few years.
Seminars and sessions will feature a dual tract with an emphasis on technical brewing, with content made for brewers and production staff, and a business of beer tract for owners, operators, business managers, and hospitality and front-of-house staff seeking to expand their expertise.
Last year the conference had over 500 attendees, representing brewery owners and staff from over 100 breweries and over 50 booths on the trade show floor.
