The Brewers Association announced today that they will cut six staff members, which is 11% of the BA workforce, effective today. Additionally, the organization will restructure the senior management by “reducing the number of CEO direct reports,” according to statement today by BA President & CEO Bob Pease.
The BA also said that Dr. J Jackson-Beckham will step into the new role of Member Resources Director from her current position of Director of Social Impact.
“We are grateful for the passion and commitment these employees have had to our mission, members, and the industry as a whole, and we did not make these decisions lightly,” said Bob, referring to the positions that were let go. “We are working with all affected individuals to help them navigate this transition, providing severance, healthcare, and career placement services.”
It was not announced which positions were terminated.
“Today’s decision is sad and challenging, but as we evolve the Brewers Association’s team structure, I am dedicated to setting up the association and our incoming CEO for success in 2025. While we are now leaner, our service and commitment to our members and stakeholders is stronger than ever,” said Bob.
The BA announced in July the retirement of Bob as President and CEO and was planning on having his replacement in place by early 2025.
