American Cider Association (ACA) CEO Michelle McGrath has announced that she will step down from the position she has held for eight years. The Board of Directors is currently seeking a replacement with the intent to hire by the end of the year.
McGrath became the first CEO of what was then the United States Association of Cider Makers. She was instrumental in reshaping the organization into the current non-profit ACA which has a staff of nine employees. The mission of the ACA is to “grow a diverse and successful U.S. cider industry by providing valuable information, resources and services to our members and by advocating on their behalf.”
The association, which currently has close to 800 members nationwide, just recently announced the dates of its popular CiderCon convention in Chicago, Illinois from February 4-7 2025.
The ACA Board of Directors is now accepting applications until November 24th for its next CEO. For complete details, including the job description and application process go here.
