News Athletic Brewing Releases ‘Soul Sour’ to Raise Funds for Michael Jackson Foundation
Athletic Brewing Company, the largest non-alcoholic brewer in the U.S., announced the fourth annual release of Soul Sour in celebration of Black History Month. 100% of the profits from the 2024 release of Soul Sour will be donated to Sacred Heart University (SHU) and the Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling (MJF).

News Beer is Clear Favorite Over Wine and Spirits in the Non-Alcohol Category
According to a recent poll, 58% of Americans participating in Dry January chose a low-alcohol or no-alcohol beer to help them achieve their goals. 55% of the respondents say that the quality of non-alcoholic beer has improved over the past few years.

News ProBrewer and Others Raise $255,000 for Michael Jackson Foundation
For the second year in a row, ProBrewer teamed up with Athletic Brewing to raise money for the Michael James Jackson Foundation (MJF). The effort raised more than $255,000 this year thanks to a matching $100,000 grant from Athletic Brewing and major donations from Firestone Walker, Sierra Nevada, Sam & Mariah Calgione/Boston Beer, Other Half, New Glarus and others as well as allied trade members such as Briess, Haas, Rahr and Yakima Chief.

News Non-Alcohol Beer Continues to Grow but Not Easy to Make
Athletic Brewing Co., makers of exclusively non-alcoholic beer, were only two years old when they burst onto the brewing world stage by growing sales 500% in 2020 during the first year of the pandemic and adding a second manufacturing location with the purchase of the Ballast Point Brewing Company in San Diego. They are now distributed in 35 states and have just expanded the capacity of their San Diego facility from 50,000 to 200,000 bbls.

The U.S. non-alcoholic beer market surpassed $9.5 billion in 2019, and is projected to see a steady compound annual growth rate of 7.5% between now and 2026, according to Global Market Insights. More and more craft brewers are looking to the growing segment, not only to tap into the growth potential, but also to fulfill a need of their customer base, who often will switch back forth between full-strength beers and an occasional N/A.
