Merchandise has become an important part of a brewery’s business model. Once a logo has been designed and approved, many breweries have printed up shirts, hats, glassware and more to sell even before the first batch of beer is brewed. Once a brewery opens its doors, merchandise takes on a variety of roles. It can be a revenue generator, but it is also a consumer endorsement that they want to wear your brand outside of your walls and share your business with others.

News Chicago Brewseum Rebrands as ‘Beer Culture Center’ with Hopes to Expand
The Chicago Brewseum has officially rebranded itself to the Beer Culture Center. While the non-profit organization currently hosts in-person events at various locations along with virtual programs, their goal is to have a physical home where visitors can take in engaging, interactive exhibits profiling stories of beer history and culture around the world.

Expert Topic The Brewery That Pickle Beer Built
Pickle beer helped build Martin House Brewing. Located near downtown Fort Worth, the brewery recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, during which time it has grown to become one of the largest independent breweries in Texas and the largest self-distributor. The brewery makes the usual suspects, including an IPA, a Pils, and being the Lone Star State, a Bock of course. But it was a simple and unsuspecting collaboration with a location pickle brand that really helped Martin House grow.

A graduate of the Cornell University College of Architecture and former professional architect, Romano instead stops to consider her first impression of the space. “I think when you walk in the front door for the first time, whether it’s how the staff greets you, or what the doormat looks like, or what’s displayed on a merchandise wall in front of you, your first impression is really going to set the tone for your experience,” she says.

Nick Warming, the boss at Southern Bay Brewery, has been forced to resign after he joked that non-alcoholic beer should be called ‘gay lemonade.’ Warming, CEO received angry backlash on social media to a post he had shared on the firm’s Facebook page.
The post, a meme of an old boxer with the caption: “Non-alcoholic beer. You mean gay lemonade?”
In response to criticism, the now former boss of the Australian company said: “I have resigned as CEO of Southern Bay Brewing Co. The board have accepted my resignation with immediate effect.”
